The Kyrovo Field Guide: Career Resilience in the Age of AI

A practical, human-first playbook for workers navigating layoffs, burnout and the AI shift. Written by the team behind Kyrovo — no fluff, no fear-mongering, just the numbers and moves that work in 2026.

The Kyrovo Field Guide 2026 — cover

Published July 2026 · v1.0 · Kyrovo, Inc. This guide is career-planning content — not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. All examples use self-reported data. Nothing here is sold or shared with employers.

Chapter 01

Who we are

Kyrovo is a career resilience tracker built in 2025–2026 by a small team of engineers, clinicians, and laid-off tech workers who kept watching friends spiral — quietly burned out, quietly automated out, quietly one paycheck from panic.

We built the tool we wished we'd had in 2023: a private, 5-minute self-check that turns three fuzzy anxieties into three real numbers, then hands you a 90-day plan you can actually run. No employer dashboards. No passive tracking. No selling your data. Ever.

As of July 2026, Kyrovo is used by workers across 40+ countries, in eight languages, spanning tech, healthcare, logistics, education, and public sector roles.

Chapter 02

The 2026 landscape (why this guide exists)

  • WARN Act notices in the US crossed record levels for Q1–Q2 2026, driven by SaaS consolidation and automation-linked "role redesigns."
  • The OECD 2025 Employment Outlook and Anthropic Economic Index both show task-level (not job-level) exposure to AI is the real signal — knowledge workers are affected non-uniformly.
  • US household emergency savings sit near a 6-year low; median runway for laid-off workers is now under 3 months.
  • Burnout among nurses, teachers, and mid-level engineers remains at pandemic-era peaks per Gallup and BLS data.

The result: three separate crises — energy, AI risk, money — hitting the same person at the same time. Traditional career tools solve none of them.

Chapter 03

Score one: your Energy Pulse

A weekly 60-second self-report on sleep, workload, agency, and recovery. It becomes a 0–100 line you can watch trend, not a diagnosis. Zones map to Recover / Steady / Push / Overextended. Nurses and support staff typically see their first honest read here.

Chapter 04

Score two: AI Risk Scan (task-level)

You list the tasks you actually do. Each is scored Low / Medium / High against 2026 model capability benchmarks — refreshed monthly. Instead of "will AI take my job?" you get "these 3 of your 11 tasks are the ones to redesign first." That's the level of granularity that matches how automation actually arrives.

Chapter 05

Score three: Financial Runway

Savings ÷ realistic monthly burn = months of runway. Target is 6. Below 3 is the danger zone where people make forced career decisions. This is the score that most changes behavior in week one.

Chapter 06

The Career Resilience Score (CRS 300–850)

Everyone understands a credit score. Nobody has one for their career. CRS composites the three pillars plus skill diversification into a single 300–850 number with bands from Fragile to Fortified. Private by design — employers cannot see it, ever.

Chapter 07

Early warning: Layoff Radar & Employer Health

Public federal WARN Act filings plus verified news feeds are aggregated per employer and refreshed continuously. Add up to three employers to watch (Core) or unlimited (Pro) and get a weekly digest email the moment risk signals move.

Chapter 08

If the worst happens: Break-Glass mode

A 72-hour post-layoff playbook: severance math, COBRA vs marketplace decision tree, unemployment filing, resume triage, and a first-week outreach script. Built with input from labor attorneys and outplacement counselors.

Chapter 09

The 90-day plan (protect → prepare → pivot)

  1. Days 1–30 · Protect: raise runway to 3 months, stabilize energy, freeze non-essential spend.
  2. Days 31–60 · Prepare: retire two highest-risk tasks with a new skill; rewrite resume around outcomes; open two low-lift income tests.
  3. Days 61–90 · Pivot: ship one visible artifact, run 5 warm conversations/week, and reassess CRS.

The plan rewrites itself monthly based on your new scores. It is not a template.

Chapter 10

What Kyrovo is NOT (our red lines)

  • Not a medical or psychiatric app. No diagnosis, no clinical claims.
  • Not employer surveillance. Nothing you enter is ever visible to your employer.
  • Not a financial advisor. Runway math is transparent and user-driven.
  • Your data is never sold, never used to train third-party AI, and can be deleted in one click.
