The Career Resilience Score: Why 'Am I Safe From AI?' Is the Wrong Question

TL;DR

Why 'safe from AI' is the wrong framing

The question 'is my job safe from AI?' has a satisfying binary shape and a useless answer. Nothing is fully safe. Everything is a spectrum, and the spectrum moves quarter by quarter. Jobs for the Future's March 2026 panel found that 74% of early-career workers already say AI is changing their job, versus 64% of experienced workers — and 40% of early-career workers are considering changing their career plans, versus 19% of veterans. The group most exposed is also the group with the least leverage.

In the same study, worker sentiment on AI flipped net-negative for the first time: 44% now say AI is doing more harm than good for workers, against 38% who say more good. That flip matters. It is a leading indicator that the next twelve months will be dominated not by 'AI opportunity' rhetoric but by defensive career planning.

Career health needs a single number, the way credit does

A FICO score does not tell you whether to buy a house. It gives you one legible number that summarizes several messy inputs — payment history, utilization, length of history, mix, new inquiries — so you can act. Career health has no equivalent. Levels.fyi shows salaries. LinkedIn Learning shows courses. Layoffs.fyi shows the fire after it started. Nothing composes them.

How the CRS 300-850 is built

Kyrovo's Career Resilience Score is a transparent weighted composite on the same 300-850 scale, chosen deliberately so it reads intuitively:

  • Energy pulse — 25% — self-reported energy signals, three questions.
  • AI resilience — 30% — task-by-task exposure to current generative-model capability.
  • Financial runway — 30% — savings vs monthly burn against a 6-month target.
  • Skill diversification — 15% — breadth of distinct task areas across your industry.

What the score is not

It is not a credit score. It is not a diagnosis. It is not visible to employers. It is a private, personal number that moves when you move — pay down burn, learn a skill that shifts your task mix, get a solid night of sleep for a week — so you can see, in one place, whether your career is getting more resilient or less. That is the number the market did not have.
